Treatments we offer
We offer a variety of therapies that are available 6 days per week, including:
  • Occupational Therapy – We have a model home to help patients recovering from serious illnesses who need to re-learn or practice the skills they need to return home and live on their own.
  • Rehabilitation Therapy – We offer an on-site rehabilitation gym and visits from physical therapists; an ideal environment for patients recovering from joint replacement surgery.
  • Speech Therapy – A speech therapist can diagnose and treat disorders of speech, language, swallowing and reasoning or learning.
  • ACP Clinical Solutions – We offer Accelerated Care Plus (ACP), state-of-the-art rehab programs that provide superior outcomes.
  • Nurse Practitioner Visits – Every Tuesday a geriatric nurse practitioner is available to monitor minor health concerns that do not require a clinic visit.
  • Integrative Healing Arts Fairview Seminary Home is pleased to partner with Fairview Red Wing Medical Center to offer our healing arts program. The program takes a more holistic approach to your care and the connection of mind, body and spirit. These complementary therapies include:
    • Reflexology -- A method of applying pressure to reflexes in the feet or hands that corresponds to each gland, organ and system in the body. By applying pressure to these reflex points, a message travels through the nervous system to the brain. Reflexology can aid in relaxation, stress relief, and pain relief.
    • Qigong -- A form of active exercises and sitting meditation that help people increase self-awareness, build internal energy and develop a healthy body—physically and spiritually. These techniques help relieve pain, stress, depression and more.
    • Healing Touch -- A gentle, complementary energy-based approach to health and healing that can assist the body in its natural ability to heal. This therapy can help:
      • Reduce pain, anxiety and stress
      • Decrease nausea
      • Prepare you for medical treatments or procedures, and to manage side effects
      • Provide support during chemotherapy
      • Support the body’s natural healing process and well being
      • Facilitate wound healing
