Deaf Services

Ebenezer currently provides deaf services at two of our residences:

Ebenezer Park Apartments
Ebenezer Park Apartments was among the first designed with the needs of deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals in mind.  Modified apartments have a visual alarm system and a visual door signaler. These apartments are available to adults 18 years and older* who are deaf or hard-of-hearing.  Individuals must also be income-eligible under Housing and Urban Development (HUD) guidelines.
* Specific federal guidelines apply to students under the age of 24. Please contact us for details.

Other amenities for tenants include:   

• Professional sign language interpreter on staff
• Video phone
• TTY phone during business hours
• Assistive listening equipment
• Closed-caption, big-screen television

Ebenezer Care Center
Ebenezer Care Center, our skilled nursing facility, is unique in the number of private rooms it offers. It also has a special program to meet the needs of deaf residents, including:

• Sign language interpreter on staff
• Ten rooms wired for video phone
• TTY and other communication equipment
• Deaf awareness & basic sign skills training for staff
• Wi-Fi Internet access
