Care Centers (Skilled Nursing Facilities)
A care center, also called a skilled nursing facility, provides around-the-clock long-term care that is less intensive than what is provided in a hospital. A care center is required to be licensed and to comply with laws associated with Medicare and Medicaid. Memory care services often are available in a care center.
